Harlingen

Actionable skill sets for kids with autism.

ABA is an incredibly effective tool for helping children with autism express themselves, develop new skills, and make more meaningful choices in life. At BrightPath Behavior’s Harlingen clinic, our skilled clinicians apply their expertise to each child’s individualized session. Through a play-based approach, your child’s ABA therapy will be engaging, full of social praise, and focused on achieving positive changes over time. These improvements in areas such as functional communication, social skills, and appropriate behavior can significantly impact their growth and open doors to a brighter future.

“The most rewarding part of my work is seeing changes in kids over time.”

Our Clinic Director:
Matthew Seago, M.A., BCBA, LBA

Matthew Seago, M.A., BCBA, LBA, blends a fun, lighthearted approach with the methodical, data-driven tactics necessary for effective ABA. His primary goal is to help children communicate functionally, empowering them to make choices and experience more of the world around them. He also coaches his clinical team by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, helping them specialize in meaningful and rewarding work. Parents appreciate his ability to incorporate their concerns into customized programming and training sessions.

Matthew earned his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Louisiana State University Shreveport, providing him with a solid foundation for implementing behavior strategies that support skill development in clients. Outside of work, he enjoys hanging out with his two dogs, playing video games, and pursuing his passion as a professional wrestler. A black belt in Karate and Jiu-Jitsu, he occasionally showcases his abilities in the clinic—whether standing on his hands against the wall or performing flips on a crash pad to redirect and engage clients. His philosophy is simple: “Play as much as you can! If things aren’t fun, then they’re probably not worth doing.”
