Are you thinking of becoming a BCBA or BCaBA?

The BrightPath Behavior Apprenticeship Program may be the next right step in your career.

RBTs working towards their BCBA or BCaBA license accrue their required fieldwork hours and receive free supervision while working at BrightPath Behavior.

Apprenticeship Program Requirements:

• Certification as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician)
• Enrollment in a university program for a BCBA or BCaBA degree
• Good standing with the company, with no recent disciplinary actions
• Approval from the Clinic Director and Director of Clinical Development

If you are interested in exploring the apprenticeship program, we’d love to help you start the process, which generally takes between 20 and 24 months to complete. We offer guidance every step of the way.

Deciding on a University Program

We offer recommendations on choosing a university program for either BCBA or BCaBA coursework, depending on what’s right for you.

• BCBA is a masters level program for those with an undergraduate degree
• BCaBA is for those who are trying to decide on a bachelor’s program

However, additional certifications, such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT), can enhance your credentials and job prospects. A passion for working with children with autism and a strong dedication to making a positive impact are also essential qualities.

Accruing Fieldwork and Supervision Hours

• Earn 2,000 fieldwork hours for BCBA requirements or 1,300 fieldwork hours for BCaBA requirements
• Obtain a minimum of 5% supervision across individual and group sessions monthly
• Attend bi-monthly group supervision meetings with structured mentorship and training

Study Helps for the BCBA or BCaBA Exam

• Receive a 15% discount on study materials from ABA Study Notes

Internal Career Growth Opportunities

• Move into Clinical Resident role when the Apprenticeship Program is complete and you are within the last 500 hours to accrue.
• Move into a BCBA or BCaBA role after you’ve passed your exam and graduated from the Apprenticeship Program
